Whoaaa…. It’s been a long time since my previous post. I took some photos, and I didnt have much time to upload it. Well, blame my lame internet connection. :p
Well, here we go. This photo was taken a week a go. It was a bright sunny day, as we expected. But I think it’s too bright, and around 8 in the morning the weather was getting hot. So we had to deal with the sun light, the hot temperature, and itchy-attack to our legs.
Notes:
- Some positions will cause a shadow in the model’s face. I had to put her face againts the sun to avoid the shadow since I didnt have any external flashes to fill it in.
- Bring some extra tissues -or towel. The hot weather makes the model sweat so easily.
- I edited this photo using photoshop to make a cold-feel. I dont know, I had tried various color tone: warm, vintage, lomo-effect, sepia, black and white, but I prefer this one. I dont know the reason, though.
Photo Details:
- Exposure time 1/400 s
- F-number f/5.6
- Exposure program Aperture priority
- ISO speed ratings ISO 100
- Exposure bias value 0.00 eV
- Metering mode Partial
- Flash Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
- Focal length 50 mm
- Canon EOS 450D
- Lens Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
This photo was taken in the same time with the photo in previous post. I edited it to strengthen the point of interest of this photo.
Yesterday, my friend and I tried to take some photos of splashing water, inspired by a video by Gavin Howey. You should watch it.

It looks great just how it is. You picked the exact right aperture—the model and some naturally framing grass are right in crisp focus, but the background blurs out after that. Looks awesome, excellent work!
Excellent photo. I have to agree with Andrew. The grass on the left was in perfect balance with the model. Fantastic job. Keep up the great work, and I like your tips.
eheemmm…who is she?
